Conversations continue..

Two days out from the seminar and the conversations are continuing on and off line.  Some comment and analysis is available from Damien, Emily, Eoin, Fearghus, Conor, Eoin, Omani, DermotThe Model and Niland Galleries and I’m sure there will be more as the week unfolds.  If you are interested in seeing what blogs are linking directly to this site then check out this link here. If you are curious about how the seminar was being Twittered live then click this link

We’ve begun the process of uploading presentation slides and materials from the seminar sessions and will continue that process as information is made available to us. Click on the Presentations tab above and this will take you to a list of what is currently available - don’t forget to click on the Audio link above to listen to audio of the events you may have missed.  Apologies for the low/poor quality on some of the material - this tended to occur when there was quite a bit of delegate participation and the radio mics weren’t used as widely as they could have been. Enjoy!

We live in interesting times. Web technologies such as YouTube, blogging, podcasting and social media have unleashed a wealth of creative material online.  The Arts Council is pleased to bring together national and international experts from the arts, social media and broadcasting in this one day working seminar to explore the ways in which artists and the public are adapting and adopting new ways of producing, presenting and promoting the arts.

This seminar is open to artists, organisations and policy makers interested in the potential that new media has for the way in which they work, and in the way it can attract and broaden audiences.

Please note that the conference agenda will be updated as we confirm speakers so do return - the most updated schedule will always be available here on the site and you can download the full conference agenda (including workshop synopses, keynote speaker biographies etc.) in PDF format by clicking here.
